Square
8
Trefoil Guild (established in 1969)

Designed
by Pat Brewerton
Made by Pam Ray and Mollie Newe.
The
square was designed to combine symbolically the activities of the
Trefoil Guild which include walking, singing and giving concerts,
running an annual garden party and raising money for chosen charities.
We
bought fabrics for the square from the open market in London Road,
Brighton and from the Handicraft shop in Kensington Gardens and
we used some bits from the groups' general scrap bag. It took us
about 3 weeks to make and at the end of it we and were pleased to
be able to show what the Trefoil Guild do.
"I
particularly remember quilting the square at the Exeter Street Hall
and enjoying the feeling of being part of a community project."
