The Prestonville Pub

Designed
and made by Catherine Cole.
Catherine
chose to depict the Prestonville Pub partly because it was in her
own road and partly because it is her chosen regular. The design
was dictated by the position of the building, on a corner half way
up a hill. She decided to show the pub floodlit against the night
sky with the lights inside shinning out.
"I
used all cotton scraps from the collection of fabrics shared by
the group as well as embroidery threads for the finer details… It
took me around 10 hours to make it, spread over a few months…I enjoyed
embroidering the pub crest the most" .
