Little Fishes pre-school and Toddler Group

"Little Fishes pre-school was set up at the Exeter Street Hall in Prestonville in 1986 and I have been working there for 13 Years. With the encouragement of Sara Cook the group leader I sat one lunch time after Little Fishes had ended with Barbara Rankin (co-worker) and discussed how best to present the ethos of the pre-school. Using Fabric crayons we drew onto calico squares various aspects of play and learning with the school's logo in the centre. We left one square free for Amanda Nichols to complete for the Mother and Toddler group that also meets at the hall. So the square was practically drawn in a lunch hour and later assembled by the group.

One of the most memorable moments of the project was the first evening we sat down to begin quilting the central panel. Someone brought a bottle of wine and someone else brought a box of chocolates and oh what fun we had that evening." Carol
