This was the first square that I made for the quilt and I made it entirely by hand. A lot of the fabrics that I used were from a bag of Laura Ashley fabrics that I had collected together as a teenager in the 1970's. The 'sky' fabrics were left over scraps from an O'Level Dressmaking project. I worked the design up from photographs and built up the layers as I went. I particularly enjoyed putting on the wooden beams using a narrow ribbon and embroidering the hanging baskets.

The pub is situated at the NorthWest corner of the Prestonville Community Association boundary.
