The map of Prestonville Community Association

Jannet King embroidered the map of Prestonville showing the Community Association boundaries. What began as a simple black and white representation turned out to be a detailed record of the residential, commercial and educational layout of the area. It also shows the number of street trees that line our streets.

Jannet traced the map onto the fabric and then used embroidery thread to fill in the details. "It took me about 2 months to finish it and was my constant companion whenever I travelled."
