"I particularly liked the tree and the view from the park and so I asked Sheila to draw an amalgam of these aspects. I enlarged the design and simplified some of the details before tracing some of the shapes onto bondaweb. Others shapes I applied using the needle turning appliqué method. I used all cotton fabrics most of which I had bought in Canada.

It took me around 3 months to finish. I remember laying out the squares in Sara's front room and listening to Catherine's' ideas on how to lay it out and seeing it all come together at last!"
